From August 22, 2003 to February 26, 2004 I participated on a youth exchange with 8 other youth selected from across Canada for the Jamaica/Prince Edward Island exchange. The program is funded in part by the Canadian International Development Agency and from Industry Canada as part of the Youth Employment Strategy. I was required to fundraise $1000 to participate in this program. Thank you to all of those who made contributions to my fundraising.
I created this website on my Canada World Youth experience so that family and friends could see how I was doing during the program and as a personal record of my experience.
The program I participated in had a specific focus on Information Technology. Each week we had an afternoon of "tech time" where we taught each other computer skills to use in our work placements. In Jamaica we were able to participate in free classes from the Caribbean Institute of Technology.
